Gilbert Spaletta, Gilbert Spaletta, who
wrote Margot et les enfants du sourire (ed. Broche) wrote these
few verses inspired of the smile of children he met at the "
Open Hands " center.
Il est là, à nos côtés, nous de
jeunes filles, aussi banales que fréquentes. Il prend le temps si
précieux pour nous parler d’un ton juste et réaliste de ce pays
aux mille paradoxes ; des femmes qu’il respecte, aime, qui travaillent
dès cinq heures du matin, cherchent l’eau, lessivent, frottent,
cuisinent pour la famille, travaillent sur les chantiers. “Elles
sauveront l’Inde”…

In all these humble places, an extraordinary joy

We finally went to India for
6 months, my cousin Nathalie who is a nurse and I. We joined there
Father Ceyrac who made us discover this fabulous country through
the numerous humanitarian projects he was leading.
